Taxonomy
Cristocorixa similis was named by Popov (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 3145/1099, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Anda-Khuduk 2 well, Ushgiin-Nur Mountains (PIN collection 3145), which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Anda-Khuduk Formation of Mongolia.
