Taxonomy
Shuragobia altaica was named by Popov (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 3791/2381, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bahar outcrop 208/2 (PIN collection 3791), which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian lacustrine - large claystone in the Ortsog Formation of Mongolia.
