Phoroschizus crassus
Taxonomy
Schizophorus crassus was named by Ponomarenko (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 2452/152, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 2452), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Schizophorus, Phoroschizus.
It was recombined as Phoroschizus crassus by Bouchard and Bousquet (2020).
