Protoprocto asodes
Taxonomy
Protoprocto asodes was named by Sharkey (1990). Its type specimen is AMNH 44101, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (AMNH collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Protoprocto.
