Yurakia was named by Rozova (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-u Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Yurakia yurakiensis.
It was assigned to Illaenuridae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
