Taxonomy
Carpenteriana tumida was named by Yoshimoto (1975). Its type specimen is MCZ 5349, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (MCZ collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada.
