Alberticoryphe was named by Erben (1966) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg D Emsi-l Sepkoski's reference number: 421,1106]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Tropidocoryphidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tropidocoryphinae by Bault et al. (2021).
