Taxonomy
Eoptychopterina camura was named by Lukashevich et al. (2001). Its type specimen is MNEMG 2000.49, a wing (wing missing apex), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Clockhouse Brickworks (MNEMG collection), which is in a Hauterivian lagoonal mudstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
