Ptychoptera miocenica
Taxonomy
Bittacomorpha miocenica was named by Cockerell (1910). Its type specimen is UCM 8636, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 13B, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Ptychoptera miocenica by Lukashevich et al. (2001).
