Taxonomy
Platytrochus curvatus was named by Dennant (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Clifton Bank, Muddy Creek (Dennant collection), which is in a Langhian marine marl in the Port Campbell Limestone Formation of Australia.
