Taxonomy
Eocenidris crassa was named by Wilson (1985). Its type specimen is MCZ, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Claiborne amber, Malvern, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial amber in the Cockfield Formation of Arkansas.
