Taxonomy
Anomalon afflictum was named by Theobald (1937). Its type specimen is Marseilles Museum C41, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is CĂ©las, Gard (Museum Marseille collection), which is in a Priabonian lacustrine marl in France.
