It was recombined as Iridomyrmex goepperti by Theobald (1937), Brown (1976) and Spahr (1987); it was recombined as Liometopum goepperti by Shattuck (1992); it was recombined as Ctenobethylus goepperti by Dlussky (2002), Heterick and Shattuck (2011) and Dunlop et al. (2014).
