Penthetria lugens

Taxonomy
Protomyia lugens was named by Oustalet (1870). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Corent (MNHN collection), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine - large marl in France.

It was recombined as Plecia lugens by Theobald (1937); it was recombined as Penthetria lugens by Evenhuis (1994), Skartveit and Nel (2017) and Skartveit and Wedmann (2021).
