Taxonomy
Eryma laevis was named by Blake (1876). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peak (Oxynotus beds), which is in a Sinemurian marine shale in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Aeger laevis by Woods (1925) and Schweitzer et al. (2010).
