Termitaradus dominicanus was named by Poinar (2011) [In Poinar collection at Oregon State University]. Its type specimen is HE-4-52, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
