Taxonomy
Tychticoloides belmontensis was named by Evans (1963). Its type specimen is AM F50110, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Warner's Bay, Belmont (AMF coll), which is in a Changhsingian pond chert in the Croudace Bay Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Tychticoloides.
