Taxonomy
Neofouquea suzanneae was named by Carpenter (1967). It is an impression. Its type locality is Between Braidwood and Coal City, which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Neofouquea.
