Taxonomy
Homoioptera kortumi was named by Brauckmann and Herd (2002). Its type specimen is Museum am Scholerberg 148, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Piesberg quarry, "Flöz Zweibänke" (Museum am Schölerberg coll), which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D lacustrine deltaic claystone in the Flöz Zweibänke Formation of Germany.
