Glaphurina was named by Ulrich (1930) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde Sepkoski's reference number: 795]. It is not extant. Its type is Glaphurina lamottensis.
It was assigned to Glaphuridae by Hupé (1955); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Raymondinidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
