Humeia was named by Ormiston (1975) [Sepkoski's age data: D Eife]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Dechenellinae by Zhou et al. (2000); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
