Laolestes hodsoni
Taxonomy
Melanodon hodsoni was named by Clemens and Lees (1971). Its type specimen is University College, London W-14, a tooth (right upper molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tighe Farm, which is in a Valanginian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal conglomerate in the Wadhurst Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Laolestes hodsoni by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
