Taxonomy
Shurabia anomala was named by Rasnitsyn (1982). Its type specimen is PIN 2555/788, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 2555, Dzhailoucho area, which is in a Ladinian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
