Uralocupes major
Taxonomy
Kaltanicupes major was named by Ponomarenko (1963). Its type specimen is PIN 1366/376, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kityak (PIN collection 1366), which is in a Roadian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Belebeevo Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Uralocupes.
It was recombined as Uralocupes major by Ponomarenko (1969) and Kirejtshuk (2020).
