Taxonomy
Parapalpebralia was named by Pillet (1973) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1106]. Its type is Parapalpebralia andegavensis.

It was assigned to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cornuproetinae by Chlupac (1994) and Bault et al. (2021).
