Taxonomy
Triassocatinius brachynotus was named by Ponomarenko (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 1069/1291, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 2069, Dzhailoucho area, which is in a Ladinian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
