Prolibythea florissanti
Taxonomy
Barbarothea florissanti was named by Scudder (1892). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (Long collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Libytheana florissanti by Sohn et al. (2012) and Kawahara (2013); it was recombined as Prolibythea florissanti by de Jong (2017).
