Progonocimex liasinus

Taxonomy
Eocimex liasinus was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitat Greifswald 57/2, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Progonocimex jurassicus by Popov and Shcherbakov (1991); it was recombined as Progonocimex liasinus by Popov and Wootton (1977) and Dong et al. (2014).
