Tipulidites affinis
Taxonomy
Tipulidites affinis was named by Wieland (1925). Its type specimen is YPM IP 034957, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Minas de Petroleo (Wieland coll), which is in a Carnian lacustrine delta plain shale/claystone in the Potrerillos Formation of Argentina.
It was recombined as Necrotaulius (Tipulidites) affinis by Wieland (1926).
