Taxonomy
Rhynchonella lovisati was named by Dreger (1911). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cryptopora lovisati by Cooper (1959), Popiel-Barczyk and Barczyk (1990), Dulai (2010), Bitner et al. (2013), Bitner and Motchurova-Dekova (2016) and Dulai (2019).
