Niryasaburnia was named by Szwedo (2004). Its type is Liburnia burmitina. It is the type genus of Niryasaburniini.
It was assigned to Achilidae by Szwedo (2004); to Achilinae by Brysz and Szwedo (2018); and to Niryasaburniini by Wang and Bourgoin (2024).
