Reediella was named by Osmolska (1970) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 378]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Proetinae by Osmólska (1970); to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Bollandiinae by Hahn et al. (2012).

Osmólska 1970Cephalon strongly convex longitudinally and transversely, cephalic border upturned, very close or coalesced frontally with glabella, the latter short to very short, parallelsided; eye short but high, with vertically placed visual lobe, covered by very broad (zr.), flat palpebral lobe; pygidium short, vaulted, with axis of 10-12 rings; 7-9 convex ribs on pleural lobes; border distinct, convex; coarse, granular ornamentation.
G. Hahn et al. 2012Eine nur durch das Pygidium bekannte Unterart von Reediella mitchelli mit folgenden Besonderheiten: Rhachis mit 10 Ringen, Pleural-Felder mit 8 Rippen-Paaren. Rhachis-Ringe und Rippen-Paare mit einer Reihe kleiner Hšcker besetzt.
