Taxonomy
Rhipidoblattina elegans was named by Martynov (1937). Its type specimen is 2641, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Shurab II, Ditch 189, which is in a Toarcian terrestrial horizon in the Sulyukta Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
