Timoraspis was named by Hahn (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon-m P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 624]. It is not extant. Its type is Griffithides breviceps.
It was assigned to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ditomopyginae by Owens (2003).
