Taxonomy
Rhynchonella lucida was named by Gould (1860). It is extant. It is the type species of Neohemithyris.
It was recombined as Neohemithyris lucida by Yabe and Hatai (1935) and Hatai (1940); it was recombined as Basiliola lucida by Cooper (1959).
