Vidria was named by Weller (1944) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon-u P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 624]. It is not extant. Its type is Vidria vespa.
It was assigned to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ditomopyginae by Owens (2003).
