Weberides was named by Reed (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: C l C Bash]. It is not extant. Its type is Phillipsia mucronata.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paladin by Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Phillipsiidae by Brezinski (2005).
