Charonoscapha ovata

Taxonomy
Charonoscapha ovata was named by Ponomarenko (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2997/1845, an exoskeleton (female without head, abdomen, fore- and middle legs), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2997), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
