Taxonomy
Eobelus longipes was named by Arnoldi (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2452/275, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 2452), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
