Taxonomy
Kilbuchophyllia discoidea was named by Scrutton and Clarkson (1991). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kilbucho, NT 060338, which is in a Soudleyan/Actonian submarine fan siltstone in the Kirkcolm Formation of the United Kingdom.
