Taxonomy
Subolenekites shevyrevi was named by Dagis and Ermakova (1988). Its type specimen is IGiG 766/244 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, grambergi zone, eastern Taimyr, which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
