Taxonomy
Glyphea damesi was named by Garassino (2001). Its type specimen is MSNM i25122, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hadjoula (MSNM collection), which is in a Cenomanian carbonate carbonate in Lebanon.
