Taxonomy
Litogaster tuberculata was named by Assmann (1927). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kocherstetten, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Aspidogaster limicola by Förster (1967).
