Taxonomy
Oxycorynoides (Oxycorynoides) gurvanensis was named by Legalov (2010). Its type specimen is PIN 3149/980, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Oxycorynoides gurvanensis by Legalov (2012).
