Dalmanitina (Eodalmanitina) was named by Henry (1965) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llvi-l]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mucronaspis by Hammann (1974); it was reranked as Eodalmanitina by Henry and Nion (1970), Henry (1980), Jell and Adrain (2002) and Sepkoski (2002).

It was assigned to Dalmanitina by Henry (1965); to Dalmanitininae by Henry and Nion (1970) and Henry (1980); to Dalmanitidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002).
