Karataus hispanicus
Taxonomy
Karataus hispanicus was named by Rasnitsyn and Martínez-Delclòs (2000). Its type specimen is LC-1427-IEI, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is La Cabrua outcrop, Sierra del Montsec (IEI collection), which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the la Pedrera de Rubies Formation of Spain.
