Kayserops was named by Delo (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-l D Emsi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 421,983]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Acastidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002).
