Taxonomy
Hoploparia kamuy was named by Karasawa and Hayakawa (2000). Its type specimen is MCM.A609, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is YEZ-16, Oyubari, Yubari City, which is in a Santonian marine siliciclastic in Japan.
