Taxonomy
Budaia travisensis was named by Wells (1933). It is not extant. Its type locality is Shoal Creek, Austin, lower Buda Formation, which is in a Cenomanian shallow subtidal limestone in the Buda Limestone Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Budaia.
