Notonecta mazzoniae
Taxonomy
Notonecta mazzoniae was named by Petrulevičius et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MHIN-UNSL-GEO-I385, a nymph, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is El Naranjo Esquino, Sierra del Gigante, which is in an Aptian lacustrine siltstone in the La Cantera Formation of Argentina.
